Well, on the success of The Everygeek’s Cloud Atlas timeline, one of our faithful, wonderful readers has requested we make a River-Doctor timeline from the new series of that hit sci-fi flick, Doctor… what was it?

Showrunner Steven Moffat is known for his elaborate and confusing plots, and, more recently, he has become infamous within the Doctor Who community for his unexplained paradoxes. But this timeline focuses on the relationship between The Doctor and River, highlighting their major character developments and plot points within the story arc. Let’s leave the paradoxes for another day.

So, those interested in watching the the Doctor-River story arc from River’s perspective would be advised to:

a) take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself, “is this who I want to be?”, and when they’ve decided they’re up for the challenge,
b) watch all the episodes in order,
c) study the above chart, and
d) watch the key episodes, more or less in this order:

2 – Day of the Moon
3 – Let’s Kill Hitler
4 – Closing Time
5 – The Impossible Astronaut
6 – The Wedding of River Song
7 – The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang
8 – The Time of Angels / Flesh and Stone
